Supplementary Domestic Credit Insurance

To create more capacity in the marketplace, we have partnered with Canadian private insurance companies so that they can provide you with the insurance solutions you need to support your domestic business. This was made possible when the Government of Canada extended our ability to provide this support. Our domestic powers have been extended by another year to March 12, 2014 or until such time that new regulations are adopted.

By providing re-insurance for domestic receivables to Canada’s private credit insurers, we can help you cover against a wide range of commercial risks.

Guidelines and eligibility

  • Exporting and non-exporting companies in all sectors are eligible for supplementary domestic credit insurance.
  • Transactions must be creditworthy and supported by a viable business model.
  • Domestic credit insurance is available from private insurance providers - not directly from us.
