D3. Environmental & Social Reporting
EDC requires that all project sponsors of Category A projects located in a jurisdiction other than a G7 country to whom EDC is considering providing support to: (i) publicly release available environmental impact information; and (ii) consent to EDC informing the public via its web site that it is considering support to such Category A project. EDC seeks similar information for projects located in G-7 countries, although this is not a condition of EDC support.If EDC is unable to provide public notification 30 days in advance of its support for a Category A project in a non-G-7 country, a justification is provided.
Under its Disclosure Policy, EDC also provides details on those Category A and B projects approved for support, including applicable environmental standards and type of environmental information reviewed by EDC.
