Guarantees
With our loan guarantee you may be able to increase the amount of financing available from other financial institutions to support your purchases of Canadian goods and services. We can also work on a risk-sharing basis with other financial institutions to help provide a complete and competitive financing package. A Bank Guarantee Program has also been established for financial institutions that provides competitive financing for foreign buyers in developing markets.Qualification
Any financial institution or any foreign company purchasing Canadian goods and/or services which are typically financed over at least two years can inquire about our guarantees. Certain documentation is required.
Cost
Our guarantees can be used to provide competitive financing on terms based on the credit quality, general market conditions, and the length of repayment terms being considered. A guarantee fee may be charged in connection with our export financing, consistent with OECD guidelines.
