EDC-FITT Student Internship

The EDC and Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) student internship is offered annually to one full-time student who has successfully completed the FITTskills program.  This one-year internship is designed to aid this individual by giving them the work experience necessary to complete their Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.

The candidate must be graduating at the end of the 2009/ 2010 academic year. This intern will benefit from mentoring by leading industry experts at EDC and gain valuable international trade related work experience. The selected individual will be placed on EDC’s Small Business Team and will begin the work placement in the summer of 2010 (start date is flexible).  This internship has an approximate value of $35,000.   2. Submit completed Application and all supporting documents to FITT advisor at your academic institution by April 21, 2010.
  3. At each academic institution will screen all applications and using the selection criteria will submit one applicant  to a final FITT adjudication committee (including academic, business and FITT representatives) to a final selection committee at EDC. Winners will be notified of their selection by May 10, 2010.
