Is it right for you?
Wondering about Trade Protect’s benefits and features? Trade Protect is a good choice if:
- You want to insure a small number of customers (5 or less) outside of Canada. If you have more than 5, consider Accounts Receivable Insurance instead.
- You want fast and easy online service
- You want minimal policy paperwork
You are eligible if:
You have NOT yet shipped the goods or provided the services you want to insure
The goods and services you want to insure are shipped directly from Canada
You are looking to insure $350,000 or less per customer
The payment terms you are extending to your customer are 90 days or less
You do not sell adult entertainment goods or services, addictive substances, computer software, goods or services related to gaming or gambling, hazardous goods, live animals, embryos or semen, or military goods.
Low one-time cost
Trade Protect involves a one-time premium that is paid upfront by credit card and is calculated based on:
- Your customer’s credit risks
- Your coverage period for up to 180 days
As an illustration, a $20,000 credit limit on your U.S. customer for a 90-day coverage period could cost as little as $112.
