What you’ll get from the program

TAP can help your company make the most of your export capabilities. Through the program, you will:

1) define a growth strategy;
2) identify and analyze your target market;
3) complete an export plan; and
4) identify the resources available for international expansion.

TAP enforced discipline to focus on export growth specifically. It broadened my horizons in terms of the government agencies and programs to facilitate export sales.

David Dickson  —  VP Finance Signifi TAP Toronto

TAP at a glance

TAP is made up of three concentrated learning sessions held over four days.

TAP Session 1

Session 1

Through dynamic interactive workshops, this two-day session introduces your company to the exporting resources available and explores the principles of building and implementing an export plan.

TAP Session 2

Session 2

Session two is an intensive day of mentoring by TAP partners. You'll begin crafting an export strategy and export plan.

TAP Session 3

Session 3

The final session involves a day of one-on-one meetings between participating companies and export specialists. You’ll learn how each specialist’s solutions can support your sustained growth abroad.

How to get started with TAP

If your company fits the criteria below, you’re ready to expand your export capabilities with TAP. Participating companies must have:

  • 2 years of commercial operations
  • A strong competitive advantage
  • More than $500,000 in annual revenue
  • 2 years of income statements
  • A clean record: no corruption or environmental or human rights violations
  • Desire to diversify into export markets, to explore the steps needed to expand into new markets and/or some past export experience
  • Two senior representatives dedicated to the program

TAP changed the whole way we are doing business. We had been doing exports for 20 years thinking we were good at it... TAP opened new doors and gave us opportunities and access in ways we never thought were possible.

Paul Kalia  —  CEO Hofmann Plastics TAP Toronto

95% of participating companies declared that the TAP program helped prepare them to grow their export activities. Are you ready?

Apply now and a TAP representative will get in touch to discuss this opportunity in further detail.

Developed by industry experts
