These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They are usually only set in response to your actions, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.
You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but then some parts of the site won’t work.

Google reCAPTCHA works by setting a cookie that collects the IP address and hardware and software information, including device and application data, of website visitors and sends this data to Google for analysis. The analysis aims to prevent automated programs from entering data on our website (for example, on a contact form). The cookie expires after 180 days, and it will not be used for advertising or tracking purposes. For more information, visit Google reCAPTCHA and Google Privacy.

We collect the following types of personal information for web analytics under the authority of the Export Development Act: your IP address, the type of browser you use, the page(s) you visited and the date and time of any requests you make. After this period, the information is disposed of in accordance with the Standard on Privacy and Web Analytics and as authorized by the Librarian and Archivist of Canada.

These cookies let our website provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

The analysis of data allows us to provide you with information, content, products and services tailored to your interests and needs. Information about your interests and preferences will be linked to information you provide us when you choose to complete a form, for example: to submit a question or register for a white paper or newsletter. On each form, you will be reminded that the provision of personal information is optional. If you choose not to provide us with this information, we may not be able to provide you with the content you requested, respond to inquiries, or tailor the information we send you based on your preferences.
If you don’t allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.
EDC uses temporary cookies and other technologies, such as pixel tags (a 1 x 1 pixel .gif file, also known as a web beacon), to deliver and measure the effectiveness of tailored advertisements on EDC and third-party websites which form part of our advertising network.
If you don’t allow these cookies, you may still encounter EDC advertisements on websites you visit, but their presence will be coincidental.
These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites.
If you disable cookies, pixel tags will still be attached to your device when you click on an EDC advertisement. The pixel tag is anonymous and cannot identify you as an individual.
