Business Environment
Jordan is a small economy with limited natural resources and financial capabilities. The GDP growth halved, to under 3% the past two years, mostly due to the financial crisis and its impact on the country's industrial zone for the production of textile, aerospace, cosmetic, pharmaceuticals and tourism. Canada’s recently signed a Free Trade Agreement with Jordan which should bolster trade volumes between countries. Business opportunities exist, however, across a wide range of sectors that match Canadian capabilities.
