In the competitive global marketplace, every benefit you can offer your customers can help you make a sale. With our financing solutions, even small- to medium-sized companies can offer competitive financing to their customers, helping them to win more contracts in export markets.
- Offer your customer competitive term financing.
- Get paid immediately according to your contract’s terms and conditions.
All the benefits of a cash sale
When we provide financing to your foreign customer, we take on the risk of non-payment. Your customer receives extended payment terms and you get paid according to your contract’s terms and conditions, so your business reaps the benefits of a cash sale.
Find flexible financing solutions
We offer a number of buyer financing solutions and we can customize them to meet your needs. Our repayment terms are flexible, typically ranging from two to five years.
For amounts up to $10 million, we can work with financial institutions in Canada and abroad to extend financing to your customers, by providing an EDC guarantee for up to 100% of the financing extended by the financial institution to your customer. This is done through our competitively priced Customer Financing Guarantee program.
For transactions larger than $10 million, we can provide customized solutions through either loans or guarantees.
- Loans: We can provide loans directly to your foreign buyer. Or, if your customer needs consolidated financing, we may be able to help by participating in corporate loan facilities.
- Guarantees: We can also partner with your foreign customer’s financial institutions through our Bank Guarantee Program which is designed to support medium- and long-term export credits to buyers in emerging markets when competitive bidding is present.
We can provide financing to foreign buyers for purchases of capital goods and/or services from Canada which can be financed over a two to five year period. We require financial information on the foreign buyer and other documentation.
We offer competitive rates to borrowers based on credit quality, general market conditions, and the length of repayment terms being considered.
