Canada's Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Peru strengthens a well-established and growing trade and investment relationship where Canada has been one of the top foreign direct investors. Note, however, that the results of the June 2011 election may introduce some uncertainty into the business environment over the short-term as the direction of the new government is established.
