Canada has an established trade relationship with Morocco. In 2020, Morocco normalized its relations with Israel. Morocco is an important market in terms of opportunities relative to other North African markets. The country is seen as a gateway to Africa, which has developed an environment for trade and investments, mostly in the western part of the continent.
