Canada Small Business Financing Program
Industry Canada
The Canada Small Business Financing Program increases the availability of loans for establishing, expanding, modernizing and improving small businesses by encouraging financial institutions to make their financing available to small businesses. Under the program, a small business must apply for a loan at a financial institution (bank, credit union or caisse populaire) of its choice.

Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR)

Financing for French-Language Artists
MUSICACTION offers financing to support the French-language recording industry and its artists. The program is open to all of Canada, but you must be a French-language recording business, songwriter, composer or artist. Financing ranges from $10,000 - $250,000. (available in French only)

BDC Growth Capital for Aboriginal Business offers financing to help Aboriginal business people start or grow their business. As an Aboriginal entrepreneur with a solid business plan, you could get up to $25,000 to start a business or up to $100,000 to grow your existing business.

Export Internship for Trade Graduate Initiative
If you are interested in exporting or increasing your company’s market share in international markets, the Export Internship for Trade Graduates is a valuable resource. This initiative provides training and employment opportunities to international trade specialists graduating from Atlantic Canadian universities and colleges. In addition, it helps small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to acquire the in-house expertise they need to successfully develop and implement an international marketing plan.

Business and Professional Development for Publishers
Government of New Brunswick
This site relates to business and professional development for publishers. If you are an established book or periodical publisher, you may be eligible for a grant of up to $2,500 for the training of your staff or board members and to participate in conferences, business meetings or book fairs. Specific to New Brunswick.

New Brunswick Film
Promotional Travel Assistance
The Promotional Assistance Program for Film Producers can help you obtain up to $2,000 for travel costs to festivals and film-related events to which you have been officially invited or selected for screening, or for participating in competitions.

This is a venture capital firm for Quebec SMEs that offers RRSPs with superior tax advantages. The Solidarity Fund QFL contributes to Quebec’s economic development by investing in all sectors of the economy.

Western Economic Diversification Canada
Western Economic Diversification Canada's business development and entrepreneurship initiatives support a competitive and expanded business sector in Western Canada. Although they do not provide funding directly to businesses, they support a network of community-based organizations that offer business information and small loans or assist with access to small business financing.

Women’s Enterprise Initiative Loan Program
Western Economic Diversification Canada
This section focuses on the Women’s Enterprise Initiative Loan Program, specifically for the regions of Western Canada. If you are a woman in this region, you can get up to $100,000 to start, grow or buy a business, as well as consulting services and business training. Your company must be 50 per cent-owned by a woman.
