Jeff Keats is the National Ecosystem lead for Cleantech at Export Development Canada (EDC). Passionate about the Canadian tech and cleantech ecosystems, he has spent almost 18 years at EDC in a variety of roles, supporting Canadian companies on their international growth journeys. 

His experience includes managing customer and partner relationships, leading business development teams, supporting fast-growth technology companies, structuring financing transactions and providing custom advice and growth capital. 

Prior to EDC, Keats taught English and trained teachers in Japan, worked at a telecom company, completed an exchange program in Germany as part of his master of business administration degree from Memorial University in Newfoundland, and received his bachelor of business administration from Acadia University in Nova scotia. Originally from Canada’s east coast, he currently lives in Toronto.
