Lionel grew up on a ranch that was proud of its cow/calf operation and focused on crop production to round out their agriculture business. He knew early the importance of the business of ranching and is no stranger to the industry he serves.

Since 2022, Lionel has served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AVL/Solvet, where he uses his extensive sales and marketing management experience with his industry commitment to manage the day-to-day operations of the commercial business, manufacturing, production, business analytics, and financial reporting portfolios. 

Over the last several months under Lionel’s leadership, AVL/Solvet has catalyzed its international partnerships, product portfolio, and stellar reputation. As AVL/Solvet celebrates its 15th anniversary, Lionel looks forward to seeing the organization seize new opportunities for growth and expansion while remaining committed to the longstanding vision of innovation by request.

Before joining Solvet, Lionel was the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Technical Services at Vetoquinol Canada. Here, he fostered his skillset in business development best practices with key clients, new product acquisitions, and lifecycle management.

He graduated from Olds College with a degree in agricultural business and a minor in animal science, and he now lives in Airdrie with his family.
