Rambod Behboodi is one of Canada’s leading trade lawyers, known for his extensive experience in North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and World Trade Organization (WTO) issues.
He’s worked on both litigation and multilateral negotiations on key topics, ranging from agricultural trade and subsidies to anti-dumping disputes and export controls. He’s also held roles with the WTO and the European Union, including as a counsellor at the WTO.
Beyond trade, Behboodi has significant experience in financial regulation. As general counsel at Finance Canada during the global financial crisis, he worked on financial sector policy, anti-money laundering and trade in financial services. He has since advised finance ministries and central banks around the world.
