During the first week of Joe Biden’s presidency, the new administration issued an executive order aimed at strengthening compliance with the Buy American Act, to invest in the country’s manufacturing industry and to boost federal purchases of U.S.-made goods. While it’s expected that only a small number of Canadian businesses will be impacted, exporters should examine their supply chain to ensure that they’re complying with the new requirements.
