How the Export Guarantee program works

Our Export Guarantee Program works with your financial institution to increase financing options for your business. We share the risk with your financial institution by providing a guarantee on the money you borrow, improving your access to working capital when you need it to grow internationally.

To qualify for the Export Guarantee Program your financial institution must be willing to establish a loan agreement with your company.

Whether it’s your first international contract or one of many, you can access more than 10 working capital solutions through EDC’s Export Guarantee Program.

Working in partnership with your financial institution, the program helps your business:

while you build your business outside of Canada.

Grow your international business

knowing you have the money you need to support expansion.

Support your international investments

by increasing your business borrowing capacity.
