Export Development Canada (EDC) today announced it has sold 1,000,000 common shares of Copperleaf Technologies Inc. by way of trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange and other alternative trading systems in Canada at an average price of approximately $6.45, for aggregate gross proceeds of approximately CAD $6M.

Following the foregoing transactions, EDC will hold 6,657,848 common shares of Copperleaf, representing 9.7% of the issued and outstanding common shares.

EDC became a shareholder due to an early private equity investment in the company through EDC’s investments program, designed to support and develop Canadian exporters. 

EDC remains a significant shareholder of Copperleaf and is supportive of the company’s management team and the strategic direction. EDC may still undertake future purchases or sales of securities in Copperleaf, subject to market conditions, portfolio considerations and other factors.
