Gwladys is a seasoned professional with a rich background in international relations, trade, and finance. With a wealth of experience spanning diverse sectors, she had several roles that demanded expertise in international business practices and strategic partnerships. Gwladys joined EDC in 2021 in the global trade team, where she had the opportunity to engage with Canadian companies in Advanced Tech, Agri-food, and mining sectors while fostering international opportunities through EDC’s business connection program. Gwladys is an advisor on the international and ECA relations team at EDC. Before her tenure at EDC, she worked at the Bank of Montreal in Toronto in wealth management, and prior to that, she worked at the African Export-Import Bank in various capacities. Her responsibilities ranged from transaction screening and due diligence to fostering relationships with international institutions and governments and developing business strategies and innovative products. Gwladys serves as the co-chair of EDC’s Black Employee Resource Group (BERG) after previously being the BERG Events Lead.
