Ian Tobman Manager, Country and Sector Intelligence Export Development Canada Ian Tobman

Ian Tobman manages the country risk team at Export Development Canada. This group of analysts assesses the economic and political risks facing Canadian exporters and supports EDC’s chief economist. Tobman has almost 15 years of country risk experience spanning Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

Before joining EDC, he worked at Global Affairs Canada in Washington, Tel Aviv and Ottawa. He has a master of international affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor of commerce from McGill University.
